DRINK PLENTY OF WATER

Hydration is essential to experience the full recovery benefits of therapeutic massage. As a general rule, drink half your body weight in ounces (i.e., if you weigh 100lbs, drink 40-50 oz of water). This differs for more or less active people.

EAT A WHOLESOME MEAL

Your body has been invigorated by the massage. Your blood and lymph may be experiencing improved circulation. Your breathing may even be deeper and more oxygen rich. This is perfect time to introduce nutrient-rich whole foods. We recommend a fresh vegetable and fruit-juiced beverage.

TAKE A TIMEOUT

Go for a relaxing walk, breathe in some fresh air, or sit down and clear your mind before getting back to the grind. Give yourself permission to savor a few moments and enjoy the way you are feeling.

STRETCH OUT LATER ON

Some gentle stretching and moving will take advantage of the increased pliability of the tissue from the massage. It will also help to keep the improved range of movement that will be available to the myofiliments (muscle fibers).

IF YOU HAVE SORENESS

It is completely normal for some people to experience some degree of soreness. It will likely pass in a day or two. Please contact us  any time if you have questions or if your soreness persists for more than 2 days. If pain worsens, call your doctor.
